For me, yes they would be odd. When he has cereal, then no, I don’t expect it. If he is actually cooking breakfast, then yes he will include me because it would be extremely out of character for him not to!

Personally, I think it's rude of him to not at least ask if he would like some of what he's making.￼ I would never cook and not ask the person who lives with me if they want some, so I can make enough if they do. ￼

I personally think it’s rude to make yourself something to eat and not ask the other person present if they want any. It’s an automatic for me, and I expect it to be an automatic for my partner because it’s just common decency.
