Question about feeding?

I have questions about breastfeeding/pumping if anyone can help me?
I want my husband/mom to be able to take night shifts after I give birth to my son. In order to do this, what do you do? Do I breastfeed on one side and then pump on the other so he will have enough to get him through the night?
*note* I know I would have to get up a time or two to pump during the night.
If you exclusively pump, what does your baby do while you’re in the hospital? I guess my question is, for his first feeding do I pump and then give it immediately to him? 
Sorry if these questions sound dumb I just get so many different answers online and want to hear what people here have to say!

For night feeds, it doesn’t give you a break. You will have to get up and pump for 20-25min every time babe takes a bottle to maintain supply. This goes for the whole breastfeeding journey: to maintain supply, pumping must happen as often as babe eats. 
It’s not recommended to start pumping until after 6 weeks and supply has regulated. It’s best to just latch baby from the moment they are born as they can pull out colostrum better than a pump or expressing. Even if exclusively pumping, it’s recommended to latch babe at least until milk comes in (3-7 days after birth) if possible. 
If you choose to exclusively pump (the hardest feeding method), you will have to pump every 2-3 hours around the clock.

I highly highly recommend taking a breastfeeding course or two. Find one that’s done by an IBCLC.

Of course totally up to you but generally it’s recommended to avoid pumping the first 8 weeks or so as your supply regulates. 
You’d need to pump every time baby takes a bottle. 
As for the hospital, milk may not be in yet and you’d be making colostrum so you can breastfeed baby that or I understand it’s easier/better to hand express that into a syringe or even a spoon if not directly nursing. 
Then once milk comes it you can pump and give bottles but only pump as must baby needs to avoid oversupply 
Anyway in my minimal experience, directly nursing is way easier even in the middle of the night. Waking up to breastfeed is way more pleasant than waking up to pump. But I’m sure others feel differently
