Due date by LMP or conception date?

My periods are irregular, so my due date differs depending on how you calculate. I’m either 5 weeks pregnant or 7 weeks pregnant. Which is more accurate?

They’ll use your LMP as your official date until your first ultrasound. It’s pretty difficult to tell what’s accurate with irregular periods until then (unless you were tracking ovulation-then there are calculators that can help).

Conception date will be more accurate, but doctors wont go by that. Like someone else said, they'll go by your LMP until you get an ultrasound. When i got my ultrasound, I even told the tech that i expected to be 10-12 days off compared to my LMP because like you, my dates differed. Ended up being 10 days off and got my due date changed accordingly.
