Has anyone had a successful VBaC with gestational hypertension and needing to go at 37 weeks?
I was induced with my first son due to hypertension at 38 weeks and the induction took 48 hours, I pushed for 1 hour and ended in a c section due to fetal distress. But I did dilate to 10 cm and he started descending the birth canal.
Fast forward 4 years and I’m 33 weeks pregnant, and was just diagnosed with hypertension again. I was hoping for a VBaC and my midwives said it will all depend on my cervix at 37 weeks whether they can try a gentle induction with pitocin only or schedule a repeat c section. They will take me at 37 weeks at the latest though. I’ve been taking baby aspirin daily my whole pregnancy and have limited my sodium (trying to keep it under 200 mg a day which is tough!).
I’m feeling discouraged and wondering if anyone here has had success in a similar spot. Baby is also measuring much bigger this time and I’m worried about size being a factor. Should I just prep for a repeat c section at this point?
