Which is better for a girl?

I’m open to other names but please be nice about the ones on here as they are all important to me. I like names that sound southern or are a little different but not outrageous

I actually like the name Kyra but only if it’s pronounced Kai-ra. If you want it pronounced as Kee-ra or Keer-uh then I’d spell it as Kira.

I don’t think kyra will be pronounced correctly with that spelling. It comes across as “KY-ruh” not “kee-ruh” I would spell it keira

I’m afraid you will be constantly correcting people with Kyra. It is beautiful though. Lennon is different, like that one too. Another suggestion, I have a sister in law from Alabama and her name is Rawlins.

Kyra is going to get pronounced like Keye-ra. Thats how a y is pronounced when it's used as the first vowel in the word eg psychology, myself, wyatt, tyson, lysol, bystandard etc. When it's at the end of a word then it can have various sounds eg the short e sound but not as the first vowel.  I like Kyra but for the pronunciation youre wanting, I would pick a different spelling.

Kyra doesn’t look like it’s pronounced how you want it, I would never think it’s pronounced like that. Maybe change spelling to avoid mispronunciation for others. It’s a cute name just no one will say her name right I feel

I think its strange that so many comments are on the spelling/pronounciation of Kyra. I had a friend named Kyra growing up that spelled and pronounced it just as you have here and i dont recall it ever being an issue for her.
