Was I in the wrong? Or is she just as crazy as I think she is?

I was at a funeral yesterday for someone on my husband's side of the family. My brother-in-law didn’t know how to tie his tie and no one who was around at that moment did either, except for me. So I tied it for him. His wife text me today saying she saw me tie his tie and did not appreciate it. She said it looked too intimate and did not like me that close to her husband like that, especially since she was not in the room (she was outside and saw through the window). This is my husband's brother and I've been in the family for almost 15 years. He's like my actual brother at this point, plus we were at a funeral. I did not feel like it was in any way inappropriate. She said I shouldn't have tied it and he could have found someone else. And if I "really had to do it", then I should have tied it around mine or my husband's neck, and then gave it to my BIL to put on. He already had it draped around his neck, so I just didn’t even think anything of it and tied it on him. She's always been crazy, but I'm wondering if I was actually in the wrong here.
