Can you develop a food allergy during pregnancy??

Question

I was cutting up a pineapple, rinsed the cutting board and my hands.
A few moments later I touched my face and now my chin and cheeks are covered in little itchy hives!! Help!

My neighbor stopped being allergic to eggs when she was pregnant and hasn't been allergic since.
With my 2nd I developed an allergy (or condition) where if I was in cold weather my hands would get itchy hives and swell up to twice regular size. Lucky for me I live in California so it didn't happen too often, but the first time was scary and I went to ER

I became allergic to pineapple during my second pregnancy. She us 11 yo now and I'm still allergic to them.  Sad cause I used to love it!

Fresh pineapple also has enzymes in it that are like digestive enzymes so it's a common one to have issue with even if you're not allergic!
