Husband has c.diff and I’m 38 weeks

Anyone have experience with c.diff? My husband just got diagnosed with it and prescribed antibiotics after going to the bathroom constantly for 3 weeks. No clue where he got this from. From what I’ve read it’s super contagious, somehow I haven’t seemed to catch it yet. But I’m due in less than 2 weeks…. Do I need to be concerned with the newborn catching it? I’m scared from what I’ve read it can live in surfaces. I’m exhausted and to deep clean my house, while my husband is still going to the bathroom, is a lot. I’m scared to ask my doctor about the risks of this bc I don’t want them to say he can’t come to the birth (although by my due date he will be done the antibiotics… hopefully they work).
