What does it mean when your OB is always late?

My OB is always late . I am sometimes in the exam room waiting for her for 20-25 mins. I get they are busy, but it has happened every time so far I’ve seen her. I don’t think that’s acceptable to be late every single time. Especially because I can hear her talking in the hallway with nurses. She acts like people have all day to just sit and wait for her. Im 35 weeks so I can change OBs but I would if I had the chance

It means she's running behind because patients before her needed more time during their visit. Don't worry, she's not sitting in her office watching ticktock and giggling to purposefully make you wait.

Lol have you never gone to a doctors office before this? Unfortunately this is super normal and even if you switched OBs I'm sure you would experience the same thing.

Make your appointments to be the first one in the morning. Then you won't have to wait on her from other patients. But it doesn't really mean anything, just that she's busy. I'm pretty use to waiting that long and just expect it at this point.

My OB was late once because he had to leave to deliver a baby. I ended up just rescheduling, but I in no way held it against him cause frankly that could (and most likely) will be me at some point messing up someone else’s appointment cause I went into labor.

I’m constantly waiting at my ob’s office. He’s on call 24/7 so if someone goes into labor, everyone at the office is stuck waiting.

I sometimes wait even a hour for my appointment because of other patients in front of me which spend time in there more, and if i need more answers with the pregnancy i’ll make sure i won’t leave until all been answered and understood

I feel like my OB is late here and there. But they usually announce into the waiting room that she’s going to be a bit because of emergency situations and what not or if any of the other OBs are available to take her appts and vice versa. My OBs office is inside the hospital where we deliver. And I know for a fact I held her up for her appts the day I had my first. I was pushing for 4 hours , two of which she was with me for. It was 12:14pm when I actually delivered my son and I needed stitches and what not so I’m sure she was extremely late if not missed appts during my delivery. 
That really changed my thinking and irritation when it comes to OB appts running behind.

Directors are notorious for running behind. Things crop up throughout the day. I try to make my kids’ & my appointments in the morning to avoid waiting a long time.
