Finding time in a day to connect meaningfully with my children, get my work done, clean and cook, maintain my identity and hobbies, and text everyone back!

So many things. But the biggest one is Trying not to get fired from my job due to missing too many days (we have no sick leave)  my husband is in the military and has a long commute plus he’s always traveling and my parents all work and run businesses have teenagers etc. so if my son gets sick and needs to be picked up it’s usually on me and I end up having to call and find a friend to come watch my son so I can finish my work day and then work late to make up the time I missed. It’s so frustrating. We only get 5 absences in a rolling year and there’s no way to get them excused.

Missing so much work because my baby is constantly catching illnesses from daycare. It's ridiculous!

I clinched the wrong thing, but for me balance can be hard. I love my job, it keeps me mentally stimulated, I’m making a difference and my office is extremely flexible when it comes to my family. But at the same time, I miss that time with my kids.  
I help with this by making sure the time I spend with my kids is quality time and spending as much time as I can with them during the weekends.
