When water breaks

Is anyone else terrified of their water breaking?
I don’t want to “hear it pop” or “feel a pop” lol

When I was in active labor with my second, that’s when my popped. I was laboring on the birth ball, and it definitely “popped!” It literally startled me and I jumped a little! 😂 but it was over in a second and I was just a couple contractions away from pushing so I didn’t care- too preoccupied with other things lol

Mine never popped it just gushed 😂😂 felt so stupid I called my mom and I was like “I KEEP WETTING MY PANTS”

With my first I was just at home, getting ready to go in to be induced, after having contractions on and off all night anyway and I only noticed the gush of water. With my second I was already in active labour, in hospital. It felt like a giant rubber band had been snapped underneath my belly. It was really intense and I remember being surprised that nobody had heard anything or knew that my waters had broken. With my third they were broken by my midwife as part of the induction.

I’m terrified of what I may be doing and or where I’m at when it happens.🫠 
My first I was at the hospital being induced so it wasn’t a big deal.

Honestly it happens so quickly it’s over - some people don’t feel/hear the pop more just the gush of water.
It doesn’t hurt so I would just try and relax and there is a chance your water may not even break! So try not to stress ;)

It's completely understandable to feel scared or anxious about the idea of your water breaking. However, keep in mind that not all women experience a dramatic gush of water when their water breaks. In fact, for some women, it may be a slow trickle or even just a feeling of wetness. If you're concerned, talk to your healthcare provider about what to expect and how to prepare.
