Breastfeeding & weight Gain ???

Question

Anyone else still breastfeeding and havnt lost a pound? I wasn't this heavy when I was pregnant now all of a sudden I can't get the weight off ! I just keep gaining ! I've tried to cut back on any bad calories sugars and carbs but I don't want to mess up my milk supply by dieting! Please help I'm going crazy !

I'm breastfeeding and not losing either. I've always battled with weight though. It's frustrating because I was hoping bf would help but not at all. It is what it is, I'm going to try and watch what I eat but bf makes me super hungry and the cravings- yikes! Good luck mama.

I was losing about a pound a week like they say at first but now I'm staying the same at 4m pp.  So frustrating. I'm super hungry always and I guess it's the holidays so maybe I'm overdoing the treats or something?

You might want to get your thyroid checked. You could have an under active thyroid (hypothyroid).  It's not uncommon for thyroid issues to manifest after giving birth.

Same here!! I'm 4 months pp and ebf , and have gained 5 lbs since birth (total up 30 lbs from prepregnancy weight). I eat moderately and exercise lightly....I'm at a loss! I've noticed hair thinning, so I'm going to talk to my doc about my thyroid....maybe that's it.

Same here!! It's so frustrating! I've been exclusively breastfeeding and can't shed the baby weight. I stay so hungry all the time. I've had two people ask me when my baby is due :(  She's almost 5 months old and I still look pregnant.

I'm always hungry too and have just been eating anything and everything. My portions are out of control. But, im ready to start watching what I put in my mouth. I feel super lazy and I know that's why. I'm also ready to start taking long walks everyday. I think it will all make a difference.
