Petit shorts/pants?

My son is a size 7/8 in shorts & pants but they’re all so long on his legs. His shorts look like baggy capris 🤣 any suggestions?

My daughter is also short and pants are always so long on her. I usually just use hemming tape to hem them up a couple inches. ￼
