Why is my boyfriend into this?

So In the middle of my boyfriend and I having sex, he asks me for a favor. He asks me if I can shave my private area so it’s like a little strip of hair going down. Right now I keep is waxed and everything just because sometimes it’s itchy for me if there’s hair. I don’t think a strip like what would bother me much at all though and I don’t really have a preference as long as it’s not itchy so I told him yes. I still find it kinda strange he likes this though and thinks it’s a turn on? Like yea I respect it and I genuinely want to please him as long as it’s something I’m comfortable with which I am, but I don’t see how it’s hot or attractive lol? Am I missing something and is this like a thing most guys are into?
