Pregnancy Termination thoughts

I just found out through amnio testing that there is a hemoglobin problem and baby has a sickle cell mutation. It’ll need frequent blood transfusions. Me and my child’s father are not seeing eye to eye on this at all. We both know it’s going to be a lot of work and we’re not ready for everything that comes with having a sick baby. We were given the option to terminate. I know that’s the best thing for us right now with our situation but I’m finding it hard to let go is that normal? I’m conflicted on if I should or not even through I know the right answer is to??
