I sadly lost my baby, but when I was almost 7 weeks along I had my doctor check my progesterone levels. 0.92! They proceeded to tell me that was normal, but come to find out it’s not! I did get a second opinion and it was too late to help my baby I think. It’s all so sad because just two days taking those pills and my progesterone jumped to 20.8. About a week later my HCG started decreasing and my body absorbed the baby sometime in the next few weeks. Has anyone experienced very low progesterone from hormone imbalance related to breastfeeding? I had two successful pregnancies before this and I now suspect my progesterone has been on the lower end of normal but it was made lower by breastfeeding my toddler. I know it’s not supposed to affect your pregnancy, but I think I needed more support to help both my son and my unborn daughter. I have an appointment in a few days with my OBGYN and will hopefully have my hormones and blood work checked fully.
