Forceful let down- pain relief advice?
I’m 1 month in of exclusively pumping and it’s going really well! My supply is good and I even have an extra supply to fall back on. The only thing is, is my let down throughout the day is SO strong and very very painful. I’m literally holding and squeezing my chest every time I have a let down. I didn’t have it this strong when I breastfed with my 1st, but I also had a very low supply. Is there any helpful tips of relieving or helping such a forceful/painful let down? Do I need to pump more often? I pump every 4-5 hours and normally pump 6-8 oz.
I’ve read putting baby on the breast helps. I choose to bottle feed my milk so I can manage how many oz she is getting more accurately. Maybe I should put her on more?
