Proper flange size??

Is this a proper flange size? I know it’s hard to tell in this photo. I’ve tried to understand by looking up pics online but I just don’t get it…

Looks a little big to me too. I use an insert i got from maymom on amazon that makes my 24mm into 21mm and its been such a game changer. Even though measuring tells me i should get 24mm flanges for me pumping is much more comfortable with the inserts.

Looks like it may be a little big, I can't tell from the picture, is your areola going in the Flange at all or just your nipple?
