Can prenatal vitamins affect my baby's development?

Hi amazing moms! I'm curious about the impact of prenatal vitamins on our little ones' development. Are there any specific nutrients that are crucial for their growth? Let's delve into this topic together!

Folate is important and so is iron. Many high quality prenatals will NOT include iron because some of the other vitamins in your prenatal (I believe calcium and magnesium) inhibit the absorption of iron so it’s best to take iron separately a few hours before or after your prenatal. I try to avoid folic acid (the synthetic version of folate) and look specifically for methylated folate in my prenatal since it’s more easily absorbed, especially if there’s a possibility that you have the MTFHR gene mutation.
I like the brand Seeking Health prenatals because they test for heavy metals, but there are a few other good brands that also test for heavy metals that I trust.
