Which birth control method should I use? UK

I'm 18, with one steady partner, I have been on the pill before and didn't have side effects but I would constantly forget to take it. Condoms are so damn expensive too. Any help would be appreciated!:)

I got an IUD a few months ago. I love it. It's the most effective method and lasts for years so there isn't any worrying! Especially since you are young, if you aren't trying to conceive. I have seen a lot of people saying they hated it, but I've never had a problem with mine and I hardly get periods anymore.

I have the BC patch. It's wonderful. Regular periods that start on the same day, mild cramping the first day only, no pregnancy scares in 3 years of using it and being sexual active. The past few months we've quit using condoms but he doesn't cum inside me but still I've had no problems with them at all.
