What are the most common reasons for a first-time C-section, and what is the recovery process like?

This will be my second c section. The reason for my first was a breach baby, he didn’t wanna turn around and it’s incredibly unsafe and I’m not sure if any docs who willingly deliver a breech baby any other way than a c section. Some other reasons could be weight concerns, labor not progressing like it should after water breaks.. I know there are more reasons but def ask your doc. My first one went amazing, I literally have almost no scar, it healed well and quick and I was back to working part time at 7 weeks because I felt good enough to. Since it was my first they did spinal anesthesia versus an epidural because there was low risk for complications, normally after your first c section they do an epidural so they can keep the line in in case you need to be numb for longer. It was quite odd to not feel anything below like your waist like right under my breasts and lower I couldn’t feel a thing 😂 and I’m sure my husband got a laugh everytime they came to check if I could move my legs yet lol I really thought I was once but they legit didn’t even move a cm 😂😂😂. I had such a good experience the first time im not even the least bit nervous about my impending c section this December.

This will be my 3rd c section! Honestly I’ve had great recovery’s thus far. I made sure as soon as I could get up out of bed I did and walked the halls. Stand up straight!! You’re going to want to stretch that all. Best of luck :)
