Should a teenage boy have a male or female therapist?

My son has mandatory therapy now through CPS. We have a case open because of a family member and I don't want to talk about the situation because it's long and adds nothing to my question. My son is very anxious around adult men. It has to do with this CPS case. He needs a therapist and I'm trying to decide if a male or female therapist would be better. He's anxious around adult men, however he's a teenage boy and the last thing I need is him falling in love with his female therapist. I think a women would be too distracting and before anyone comes for me this isn't the same as being in a school where girls are being punished for being a "distraction" this is about my son getting help and he's the only one that matters in the situation so if a female will be too distracting for him to actually get help I feel he should have a male and it may help him become comfortable around adult men again. But I'm open to taking advice as long as it's kind.
