What are some side effects of birth control implants?

I'm thinking about getting a birth control implant, but I'm worried about potential side effects. For those who have had an implant, what side effects have you experienced? How did you manage them?

I had the implanon in my arm- my side effect was consistent bleeding- not heavy but enough where I had to use something almost all the time. I gave it a couple of months like they suggested so it could settle down but it never did so I had it removed.

I had previously had an implant before I started trying for my Son, I had no side effects and no periods at all whilst I had it in. When I had it removed to start trying for my Son my cycles came back straight away and I had no trouble conceiving my son. Fast forward to him being born I had the implant put back in 6 weeks after he was born, I bled constantly for 7 months. My doctor put me on the pill to help control the side effects I was having from the implant. It didn’t really help. My son is no 9 months old and I’ve had the implant removed and have stayed in the pill and the bleeding has finally started to settle down.
