I've heard that certain thyroid medications can impact fertility. Has anyone experienced this? Let's discuss if and how thyroid medication can affect our chances of conceiving.

Thyroid problems for sure can effect fertility. I’m not sure about the actual medication. I had trouble getting pregnant a second time with my ex husband then got diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Went on armor thyroid. With my husband now we have had no issues getting pregnant. It’s actually better for a baby when you are pregnant to have your thyroid treated if you have issues with it than not. Your thyroid has to work twice as hard in pregnancy because the developing baby’s thyroid doesn’t work until the end of pregnancy. I chose armor thyroid over other thyroid medications because it comes from a pig’s thyroid instead of a lab. So it’s a bit more natural. My doctor had to double my thyroid medication when I was pregnant. I have a very healthy 18 month old now. Developing right on schedule. She’s the healthiest in the house. So sorry about your thyroid issues! I know how hard it is and how tiring it can be.
