Effacement Means how much longer?!

Hi everyone! I’m just curious I found out last week I’m 20% effaced. Does that mean labor is coming soon? Does anyone know how long it takes from  here or if it will just be this way for several weeks?

Unfortunately doesn’t mean much. I was 100% effaced and only 1 cm dilated for almost 2 weeks with my second.

Really nothing… I was 1 cm 0 effaced and went into labor after a few hours on my first baby….. was at a 3 for months with my 3rd(not sure how effaced though)

It really just depends on your body. I was 38 weeks and 70% effaced and 1cm dilated then two days later I went into labor, I wasn’t checked at all before then, so I don’t know when I started to efface/dilate
