Stay friends?

Thanks for all the advice, I agree with y'all and I decided not to see him again because this would prevent me from finding what I'm looking for.

So I met this guy on Tinder and we went on a date once, we had a great date but I'm looking for a relationship and basically he's not because he's going to travel for 2 months in October so he doesn't want to start a relationship wich makes sense.

The thing is we had really good chemistry, we did have sex a few times and we really had a good time.

Now I told him that I don't want to keep seeing him because I'm looking for a relationship and he doesn't want that right now.

He really really likes me and I really like him as friend even though I would have liked more. He wants to keep hanging out, going out to eat without having a sexual relationship, just friends.

Would you guys hang out with him? Have you ever done that?
