Is it true that you can only get pregnant during ovulation?

Hey ladies, let's talk about this common misconception! I've heard that you can only conceive during ovulation, but is that really the case? Share your thoughts and experiences below, I'd love to know!

To get pregnant you have to have sex at a time that can result in a living sperm meeting a living/viable egg. Sperm can live up to five days inside you. (But that’s under absolutely perfect conditions…realistically it’s more like 3 days for most people). An egg is viable for at most 24 hours after ovulation. So in order to get pregnant you have to have sex in your “fertile window” which is a few days before you ovulate through a day after. Any other time and it can’t cause pregnancy. The trick, of course, is being sure when you ovulate!
