Dying your hair while pregnant?

Has anybody dyed there hair while being pregnant? It's a old myth not to do it but I'm reading it's ok during the second trimester. I'm 24 weeks I should be fine right?

You will be fine if you go to a professional. I'm a hairstylist, pregnant and work around hair color all day long, including doing mine. I can't emphasize enough to make sure a professional does it with good quality product. I would honestly look up and see if there is an Aveda salon around you. Aveda is almost all organic and plant based, the whole line including the color and it's absolutely fantastic. The color lasts and grows out wonderfully for being so natural. Do not use henna or drug store crap! Hope this helped!

Ive colored mine twice since being pregnant and im 24 weeks now ...i even did it once in the first trimester but they do say to wait till the 2nd trimester

I'm 24 weeks too and dyed my hair 2 days ago. My partner did mine for me and we sat in a well vented room. I used a trusted brand that I bought from the pharmacist (and had used before) it's the second time I have dyed my hair whilst pregnant and everything is fine with me. My sister dyed her own hair during her pregnancy too and both her and baby were fine.

The color is not absorbed into the body- it's the fumes that will bug you, but not harm you. Hairdressers get pregnant too, and have perfectly healthy babies.
