No one asks parents who do not need ivf for bank statements proving they have thousands of dollars in disposable income to spend on a baby…..

Overall, no. There’s a huge difference with shelling out hundreds and thousands of dollars in one go vs spending $100 here and there for baby items. Kids are expensive, but they are much easier to budget in and prepare for financially than medical expenses. 
if you’re horrible with money and can’t prioritize saving/budgeting, that’s probably a sign you shouldn’t have kids. I think it’s about priorities vs money.

I have two beautiful children and we are financially stable, but we could not afford IVF or adoption prices. They are ridiculous.

Absolutely not. Having the money for IVF has nothing to do with your ability to parent. Majority of people don’t have the cash to drop 15-20k at a time. That doesn’t mean anything about anything. 
My husband and I were lucky to be able to afford IVF. Other than daycare, I’ve never had to just drop thousands of dollars in my kids at the drop of a hat.
