High prolactin med question

Hey, y’all!

I have mildly high prolactin again after a few months off meds.

Two years-ish ago, it was flagging high and I had all the MRIs and bloodwork. The doc put me on cabergoline at .25 a week and after a little while, levels were flagging as low. The doctor (a different one than the one who prescribed me the meds originally) then took me off the meds in April since my levels were reading low and my MRI was no longer showing the tumor.

Now, I am seeing a reproductive endo (starting seeing him mid-July!) and my prolactin levels are flagging high again. They’re starting me on meds but this time it’s different. They’re putting me on half a tab of bromo a night inserted vaginally for the next two weeks.

Has anyone ever taken bromo this way? How did it go for you? Was it successful in lowering your levels?

I got really used the the side effects of cabergoline and dealt with headaches for solidly a week or two after I stopped taking it.

I’m just still trying to make sense of all this again… thanks for any advice/thoughts you have!!
