At how many months is it not safe to travel ?

I'm currently 5 months just wondering how far along should one not be traveling

My doctor told me I could travel til 37 weeks! Lol I thought that was a bit far! I'm 27 weeks and currently visiting my dad in Canada!

I took a 1 hr flight at 33 weeks and just took my OB records with me.

Airlines usually have their policy on their website, and that can vary from no travel beyond 35 to 37 weeks. My OB practice advises no airplane travel beyond 37 weeks. Also think about how far you are going and where? A 6 hr flight anywhere late in pregnancy would be a lot harder than a 1 hr flight. But if that 6 hr flight is from NYC to LA, they can always land in the Midwest or instance if you go into labor early. If it's a 6 hr flight to London, over the ocean, not so much.....

As long as you get up and move often to avoid blood clots on long trips, regardless of mode of travel, for those with uncomplicated pregnancies traveling in and of its self is safe.

The main reason they say to stick close to home and not travel late in the 3rd trimester is so you don't find your self going into labor in a strange city (or in the air or at sea). Cruise ships often won't let you travel beyond a date way earlier than airlines.

All depends on what your doctor said. My doctor said once I'm 30 weeks I can't go on an airplane after. My husbands cousin just went on an airplane at 35 weeks.
