5 week scan?

Hey, I’m only 5 weeks 4 days which is super early and I tracked my ovulation however the hospital rang me and asked me to come in for a scan in two days as I’m high risk from all miscarriages 
Because I’m so early I’m presuming nothing is going to be there? I don’t know if this is just going to make my anxiety worse? Would there be any point to a scan this early? Has anyone ever had a scan this early and seen something or other?

This is what we saw at 5 weeks 1 day, just the gestational sac, my doctor just wanted to make sure it’s in the right area.

You should definitely see something by now the gestational sac and the yolk in 3 days you should see baby and heartbeat

At 5w6d you should see a gestational sac and yolk sac. Fetal pole and heart beat may be present but not necessarily. 
Also, you may measure earlier than you think. Even with tracking ovulation, implantation can happen anywhere from 6-12dpo. That’s a week difference that can happen. So don’t freak out if you measure 5w 1d and only see a gestational sac. 
Scans this early are really just to see if a sac is in the right spot and not ectopic.

I had an early scan done at 5 weeks 3 days because of threatened miscarriage, all we saw was the gestational sac but no fetal pole as it was too early. I went back at 7 weeks for another scan and we saw baby and heard the heartbeat.
