IUD Removal

Okay I’m getting my IUD taken out here soon and I’m terrified. Back story this is my second IUD. When I had the first one removed it was not by my current doctor. My doctor at the time moved out of state so I had another doctor in the office take it out and was supposed to put another one in the same day. The doctor began prepping me, she did the iodine swab and then out of no where I had this searing pain in my abdomen. I thought she had taken the iodine swab and shoved it in my uterus. I started almost yelling “ow that hurts that hurts!” And she just starts saying “it’s out it’s out”. I had absolutely no warning she was taking it out and felt completely violated. Needless to say she did not insert the next IUD. I found a new doctor to insert it who was extremely sweet and talked me through the entire thing. Now that I’m ready to have this one taken out I’m having severe anxiety and don’t know what to do. Has anyone else had a similar experience? 😞
