Is anyone else so excited to give their baby the life they never had

My mom basically gave up her kids to their dads whenever she moved onto another man, so I grew up with just my dad in the house who had to work all the time.

I’m so blessed that I might be able to be a SAHM for my baby boy on the way. I’m excited to be able to be there for him, take care of him, and love him and his future siblings. My dad was a great dad and did his absolute best for us, but I’ve always had this little hole in my heart. I’m so ready to decorate the house with them for the holidays, do fun crafts, be involved in their schooling, have movie nights, bake their favorite desserts, make their school lunches, have their friends over, go to the zoo, help them when they’re going through a tough time, be a shoulder to cry on, and so much more.

I feel like a part of me is healing.
