Is this accurate for a 17 week miscarriage?
So I know someone who is saying they had a miscarriage at 17 weeks. ( very close to the family that’s why I’m interested) They are saying that the baby got stuck and they had to scrape it out because it got stuck in her vagina. They said it came out and said it was a bunch of cells that were fetus shaped.
Is that really how that works? Would they really scrape a 17 week fetus out to the point it wasn’t recognizable? Because I was under the impression that 17 weeks it’s a whole developed baby and that they usually wrap them afterwards. Would they really have to scrape them out like that?
I’m not trying to call her a liar but she does lie about having 2 living children that don’t exist. But maybe I’m the one that’s wrong about how miscarriages work at 17 weeks. But it just seems off to me because even the ones that I’ve had way way earlier I could make out the fetus and everything.
