Paranoid about Shaken baby syndrome from bouncer?

FTM and I'm up anxious right now thinking about how my 6 week old was put in a bjorn bouncer and when I wasn't looking, he was bounced in there kinda hard and I'm worried that somehow it could cause SBS. I looked up videos of SBS and it seems like it has to be violent but im so worried that somehow the bouncing could've been too aggressive because if his head bounced a bit what if that messed my baby up. 😭

It’s nearly impossible to give a child shaken baby syndrome on accident. While your baby may have been too small for the bouncer, the bouncer was still made for babies. Your baby was still supported in the neck and head, and shaken baby syndrome is caused primarily when the neck snaps back and forward, causing the brain to rattle around and experience trauma. Your baby is totally fine! Think about how there’s been decades of people who have literally bounced their baby on a knee and not given their babies shaken baby syndrome (though that’s ill-advised now lol). Babies are more resilient than they look. Think about the trauma they sustain during birth. You’re fine mama :)
