38 week visit

Well, I’ve officially surpassed the length of my first pregnancy by 1 day lol. I am 38+1, 1cm dilated, but my cervix is still really thick 😕 I just thought I would have progressed more with all of the pressure and contractions I’ve been having. I’m a firm believer in “baby will come when baby is ready,” however, my doctor did say I could set up an induction date if I wanted. I declined for the time being. If I make it to our appointment next week, I will more than likely just ask for a membrane sweep (as this worked with my first pregnancy) and try to avoid an actual induction. In the mean time, I’ll still be working my 12 hour shifts as a CT Tech, bouncing on my ball, walking, going to chiropractor, and doing all the things to make this baby come naturally 🤣 maybe she’ll be an October baby after all !
