Could having low progesterone during pregnancy cause repeated CP?

I’ve had two CP now and no successful live births. I will be seeing a fertility specialist in Oct but I’m curious if low progesterone pregnancy can cause chemical pregnancies. Also is it genetic? My mom had to take progesterone when she was pregnant with my because she had had a miscarriage at 4 months? So many questions. I appreciate any feedback please 🙏

I don’t know if it’s genetic, but it does definitely sound like that could possibly be a cause. I personally know several ppl who couldn’t hold a pregnancy til on progesterone. Then no issues in future pregnancies. Def worth asking your dr. I will say I’ve found it’s not easy to get in my experience. I’ve had 4 miscarriages and been through numerous drs. I’ve only found 2 drs who said yes I can take progesterone. That was after my third loss. I think they took me more seriously after that third loss. But all of the first few drs told me no it doesn’t do anything… which can’t be true. It’s the pregnancy hormone. ? So just saying, you may need to ask around to see who will prescribe you it, but I hope your dr is more on board!

No, chemicals honestly are usually caused by bad luck. Im sure they can have a genetic/chromosomal component but it usually bad luck with the egg not implanting properly. Nothing to prevent etc. Definitely get you progesterone tested when you become pregnamt anyway because low progesterone will cause an unviable pregnancy after it implants anyway.
