Tips that may help me conceive?

Kirsty

So here’s the story..

Me and my boyfriend have been trying for a baby for over a year now. There hasn’t been any pressure and we haven’t had sex everyday (It’s a bit impossible with him being in the military). The only times we can try is when he’s home on the weekends.

Over the last few months, my menstrual cycle has been lasting for what seems.. FOREVER (some lasting 27 days!!) it has honestly taken so much energy out of me and not being able to try for a baby during these times have been so disheartening. If my partner wasn’t only home on the weekends then it wouldn’t be so bad but it always seems to be my luck that I’m menstruating at the time that he’s home (although, not always). After speaking to my doctor they have now referred me to the hospital for some further checks. Hopefully this will discover a reason to why I’m menstruating for so long and maybe a reason to why I haven’t caught yet. (I know a few people may go through the same as me)

Recently, I began to start taking prenatal vitamins (which my sister recommended, she was trying for 3 years herself). I have also bought ovulation kits to use when he’s home to check whether I’m ovulating or not. One of my friends have recommend me putting a pillow under my bum during intercourse (anyone heard of this??).

Basically I’m looking for tips on what may help me conceive, please help. Any advice or suggestions would be very grateful. Thanks
