You definitely need a new doctor. I would start the process now. Still, if it’s a long wait have him do an exam.

I’m definitely not a doc, but if you have bad periods that are irregular and you feel a growth(s) of some kind it could be connected. My sis has PCOS and she has really bad period pain and cysts on the regular. Her doctors didn’t know what it was at first either. However, it is your right as a patient to fire your doctor if they refuse to investigate your concerns and treat you with respect. Keeping a period journal about how many tampons/pads you use a day and your daily pain levels could give your GYN specialist more specific information. If you have pain with sex write that down in the journal too. Ask for them to test your hormone levels via blood analysis and to read your journal to find patterns. Also ask them to examine your cervix for a specific concern not just your annual wellness check. Tell them where you both felt the growths and that you want them visually inspected. They may want to biopsy if it isn’t obvious what the growth may be. Ask for pain medication or sedation if they have to biopsy it hurts like hell. I’m hoping you can get answers you need.

I live in Canada too. I don’t know from which province you are. Where I live there are family planing clinics in hospitals and they usually do STD testing and contraception planing. You don’t need a referral from family doctor to go, you just have to call. Now if your doctor has this patronizing attitude and is horrible, you have every right to change. If you are in Quebec, this will take time, I know. You can also file a complaint to the medicine order. You might not be the only one…What you describe has to be assessed by a doctor. Take care of yourself.

It's important to prioritize your health and address any concerns you have. While I'm not a doctor, I can tell you that feeling bumps on your cervix could be due to various reasons, such as cervical polyps or cysts. It's best to consult with a healthcare professional who will take your concerns seriously and provide appropriate guidance. If your current doctor isn't meeting your needs, consider seeking a second opinion from another healthcare provider who will listen to you and address your concerns. Remember, your health matters, and you deserve proper care and support.
