**need advice on my 3 year old who’s a fussy eater**

My son is 3 and in nursery. He often eats his snacks and puddings at nursery which is good. But main meals he isn’t great. He sometimes tries it and then refuses it after which then they give him a jam sandwich as an alternative which he eats and Which is fine coz least he attempted their hot meals etc.

They are now saying today that they need to come up with an idea because he’s that clever he knows there’s a jam sandwich coming if he doesn’t eat/try his meal. (Even though he never eats their meals anyway fully) So now he won’t have a go. And apparently they tried to encourage him etc but he got that upset at dinner he was nearly sick and then didn’t eat altogether.

So their point is that he’s relying on “jam sandwiches” now that he won’t even attempt to try their meals. Even though he doesn’t eat their meals anyway but trying is better than nothing because he’s a fussy eater so it was a start.

They don’t offer him any other fillings though only jam sandwiches
