Do you think someone's struggle of ttc for one month is the same as one who's 1 year and more!?

We're all here to support each other. I just wonderd what you ladies think on the subject.

No because once you hit a year of TTC you can be considered for fertility treatments and to me that starts a whole different ball game....not being able to conceive on your own I'm sure is very emotionally and physically taxing and I think is a whole new level of stress

I mean everyone's journey is different no matter the length. So no I don't think they are the same but I also still think they are comparable a little bit.

We are all going through the same thing in different ways and different stages.

I think it's different for everyone, but I feel like if you've only been TTC for 6 months or less, it's got to be a totally different struggle than someone who's been TTC for a year plus.

I've only been TTC for two months, so I certainly don't know from experience but the way u see it is this - TTC for 1-6 months is completely normal. Nothing to worry about there. After 6 months, maybe you start dealing with the possibility of fertility issues, and the anxiety and fear that comes with that. And then of course there is a whole new struggle after a year when you'd be considered "infertile" by a doctor. You cannot compare someone whose been TTC for two months, to that. You just can't.

I'm not saying there is NO struggle at 1-6 months, because I know from my own experience that that just isn't true. I have generalized anxiety and have already been advised of possible infertility issues I may or may not be up against, and this time has been frightening for me. My own struggle is not invalid because others have been struggling longer. But I would never say that my experience is on par with someone whose been trying for 3 years. Everyone's story, and struggle is different.

I've been trying for 5 and a half years with one miscarriage back in July. I've seen women trying for less time dealing with more loss than I have, I've seen women trying for a lot longer with no positives ever. I don't get upset when someone has been trying for a few months and get upset. I remember what my first 6 months were like, then the following 6 month, then the next year, and the next, and the next, and the next, and these past 6 months. No matter what point you're at, it's heartbreaking and frustrating. I wish they would take some time to learn though. About their bodies, cycles, and such. It can take a healthy couple up to a year to conceive. It might be frustrating, but don't let it discourage you too much. If it's been a year (under 35), or 6 months (over 35), get in and do some diagnostic testing. It'll put your mind at ease. It bothers me when someone (who hasn't been previously diagnosed) says "I've been trying for 3 months, I'm infertile!" No, you aren't. At that point you're considered normal. Give it a year before you walk around throwing that word around. It doesn't bother me because I am infertile. It's not a slap to the face or anything. It's just irritating that they don't take the time to learn about their bodies. If that makes sense.

It is definitely not the same. I believe it's worse the longer you are ttc. But that's just because it's been years for me.

I don't think it's the same. I do remember trying for only 3 and 4 months and feeling like my world ended every time I'd see a negative though.
