20 weeks & Braxton hicks?

Question

Is it normal to have very painful Braxton hicks at 20 weeks? I feel like with my first they weren’t so early or nearly as bad, these are making me genuinely have to stop in the midst of doing something and bring me to tears. I’m unsure of how to handle this. TIA

Braxton hicks should not be that painful. I would definitely go and get checked. 
I had Braxton hicks very early with my second baby and then from 30 weeks they became so intense and non stop that I was put on bed rest and a muscle relaxant to try and reduce them. They monitored me a lot to see if they were opening my cervix. 
Thankfully the bed rest did the job and I made it to 37. 
I would get checked

I had them at 14 weeks but not painful but they get more painful in weeks

Ive had them as early as 12 weeks but they weren't painful at all. Maybe talk to your OB

painful braxton hicks no drink some water and see if that calms them down if not call l&d and see if they’d want you to come in.
