Miscarriage? Subchorionic bleed?

I am six weeks two days pregnant, a true miracle after struggling for four years after a miscarriage, unexplained secondary infertility, and three unsuccessful rounds of IUI.

Unfortunately, I am worried we are losing the baby and am wondering if any of you have experienced this. I have had cramping on and off since before my positive test more than two weeks ago. Two days ago, at 7pm, I had an episode of light spotting when I wiped and mild cramping. Cramping continued, very light, and spotting went away. Then, at 7pm yesterday, I felt a slight gush and went to the bathroom to see bright red blood. I had another two small gushes when going from sitting to standing over the next 30 minutes accompanied by the same light cramping.

This morning, I have very light cramping still and spotting. I went in for hcg yesterday and will again tomorrow, but for now I have no results. I am worried this is a miscarriage given the cramping, and am just wondering if this bleeding will pick up and answer my questions for me. I just figured it would be increasing by now, 12 hours since the bright red blood.
