I know this is dumb but
I made a smoothie today (I’m 39 weeks pregnant with a two year old, low on energy and was hungry) only to have my husband come in and criticize me because I used the berries in the freezer that I apparently “wasn’t supposed to use” because one time last week he used them on his body when he needed an ice pack. I told him that I knew that and that I was there for that and that they weren’t out of the freezer too long. Literally only a few minutes. I told him I inspected them before using them in my smoothie and they looked fine. He escalated and complained that he was just concerned about the safety of the food and I said that it was fine. I would t make it for me and our two year old if I didn’t think it was safe. So I poured it into a glass and he got upset, “so you’re not gonna listen to me?” And I was just so hungry and wanted some quick calories that didn’t give me heartburn and wanted to share with our daughter that I was just like “I think it’s fine” and I licked the rim of my cup. And our daughter kept asking for some and I saw how upset he was getting so I changed my mind and told her that “we can’t have to smoothie because the ingredients were not good” and he was pissed and grabbed my cup and the blender and dumped them both in the sink and “well you already dry licked it! I would have preferred if you just threw it down the sink!” Blah blah blah it was so ducking annoying and ridiculous. So then we got into an argument where he just kept talking at me and I was silent. So not much of an argument, just him bickering. Anyway I guess this is a mild venting.
Would you have drunk a smoothie made with an unopened bag of blueberries that was used once for a few minutes as an icepack? I know this is stupid. But come on.
