Did you feel pressured to have sex?

There is a lot of focus on sex on our society. And it starts at an early age. Do you feel that you had sex when you wanted to? Earlier? Or later? Do you feel pressured to have sex now? Or do you feel like you want to, and do not have any opportunities to?

I feel the pressure all the time! I have anxiety, so the possibility if getting pregnant scared the yeezus out of me! I have a group of friends who tell me all the time that "literally if you use a condom, pull out, and bc you can't get pregnant" and that my boyfriend (who's great about this) "deserves to be f*cked". What does that even mean? It's annoying because it makes me feel like I'm supposd to just please him and my ideas of what I want don't matter... I know they don't mean any harm but it gets so annoying sometimes.

I'm 22 and still a virgin, but I feel like our society is too saturated with sex. The amount of aggressively publicized pornography that is in your face constantly in movies and in internet pop-ups disgusts me and I feel like I've mentally been robbed of some innocence. Does that make sense? I feel like sex is something sacred and beautiful to be shared between life partners.

​To really be open and expose a tender and private subject, when I was 7 I was stripped and molested by a friend's older brother. Subconsciously it has affected the way I view myself--kind of like spoiled merchandise--and the way I react to certain touches. I used to fear sex but I've mentally trained myself away from that mindset, but I still get flashbacks when my boyfriend holds or touches me certain ways.

If anyone was pressured, it was my boyfriend. He really wanted it, but was just afraid of getting walked in on. (We managed to keep it a secret for 2 years, until I had a pregnancy scare)

I was 16. I wasn't pressured, it wasn't planned and I don't regret it but now that I have a daughter and think about how young 16 truley is, I think waiting at least another year or 2 would have been okay.

I "lost" my virginity about a month before my 22nd birthday earlier this year. He's my first relationship and I have absolutely no regrets about how quickly we got into it (had only been officially dating about a month. Hah. Oops?) because I know he is the right person and even if in the future things don't work out (even though he's wonderful and I hope they do!) I still won't regret it because it just felt right and I'm so comfortable with him :)
