What do yall think? I’ve been trying to use a size 3 nipple for my 2.5 month old. Let me explain why. She was in the Nicu and had some trouble with eating. She had issues swallowing as well as being too sleepy. She also has really bad reflux. Because of her reflux the Dr had me mix gel with her formula to thicken it. She takes an hour to eat on a size 2 nipple which is what the Dr had her on. But since I’ve been trying size 3 she has been only taking 30-40 minutes to finish. So I think because the gel mix makes her formula so thick the size 3 is easier for her to eat. I don’t want to overwhelm her but she has been doing fine. I’ll pace when she needs it but for the most part she does good on her own. Do yall think it’s okay to use the size 3 nipple? I should mention I’m using Dr Brown bottles.
