What can cause a random unexplained fever?

I was just sitting here and started getting chills and feeling super cold so I took my temp and it was 100.03 so I took some Tylenol (this was over an hour ago) and the fever just keeps slowly rising. It’s 100.5 now. I feel completely fine other than feeling feverish so I’m confused ..

It's probably a virus. Cold, flu, Covid, etc. all can begin with low fevers. You may feel feverish for about a day, and then other symptoms could set in. Hopefully it won't be too bad for you. ￼

Probably just a virus. Both times I’ve had Covid it was just a random low fever and not much else.
