1 percentile at 2 months?

Question

Has anyone else’s babys weight been in the 1 percentile at 2 months? She was 7lbs at birth and is now 8.6lbs at 2 months. I mainly breastfeed and sometimes supplement with 1-2 bottles of formula. We have a follow up weight check soon and need to find ways to either increase my milk supply or start giving her more formula.

Idk true percentiles for my kids (preemie life) but my daughter had slow growth. She stayed on her growth curve so it was never a concern.
She was 4lbs 11oz at birth. 3lbs 13oz at 5 days old. 4lbs 12oz at 2 weeks old. 5lbs 11oz at 1m old. 8lbs even at 2m old. 
So compared to my girl, your child’s 1.5lbs gain in 1 month is more than my girls 1lb gain. I also EBF. 
My daughter is now 2. She’s always been small. She’s only 25lbs. She’s thriving and doing fantastic. Talking, jumping, eating nonstop, and just very normal.

My 12 month old who was full term was born at 6lbs 1oz and by day 3 he was down to 5 something and he pretty much has been on the 3rd percentile with his weight since then like this kid eats 3 meals a day 3 plus snacks and he was nursing 5 times a day and just never got chunky. The percentiles based on average size babies and not all babies are born at average size so don't let the percentiles get you feeling down. Your doctor isn't worried don't let it worry you.

Agree with Jane. As long as she is following her own growth curve. The percentile chart is formula fed based. 
Have you seen an IBCLC for weighted feeds and an oral tie assessment? Don’t just assume it’s your supply.

My baby was 1 percentile too at two months and I was only breastfeeding I do have two breast surgeries that probably made my milk supply low so I started to supplement and he started to gain more weight, do what your gut tells you, only you know how hard you are trying and while you offer breasts on demand and if you feel baby needs more, don't feel guilty of supplementing. There are also lactation professionals that can for sure help you with increasing milk supply! Either way you will figure it out, my baby is 7 months now and he is 50 percentile, he did leave the breast by his own choice at 6 months! Good luck you are doing great mama!
