Late Period negative test

I’m 35 and currently not TTC. I’m very consistent with my cycle. It’s 23-25 days. I’m have had the outlier cycle where it was 28 days. I’m currently on day 31. I took a test but it came back negative. With my first I was tracking so I knew when I ovulated and when to expect my period but now I’m not tracking ovulation. With my first I didn’t get a positive until 14dpo.

I’m curious how late it took some of you to get a positive test? Should I keep testing? Or just chalk it up to some other factor causing my period to be late.
